Me and my father came across some tracks on a deer lease along a creek bed in the mountains just west of the Kickapoo Cavern State Park. The tracks measured 17 inches long by 8 inches wide. We found the tracks about 3 miles up a creek bed that was behind a locked gate. The area where we found the tracks is very hard to get to and is very isolated with the closest house being about 10 miles away. In this area there are known to be black bear, but these tracks were a little too big for the black bears we have in Texas.
